Happy Fall! This week, Laura Dedelow brings you an Autumnal Equinox edition of Earth Eclectic, your ecospiritual radio hour.

Laura reports record high temperatures in her area of Earth’s Northern Hemisphere, but the signs are there — leaves falling, flowers and plants going to seed, sunlight angles changing, and more.

Zepparella opens the show with a track from their self-titled album, a cover of Led Zeppelin’s “Ramble On.” Laura also features music from Michele Gori, Janice Marsh-Prelesnik, Vanessa Lively, Lisa Li, Gueorgui Kornazov & Brass Spirit, Shannon McHarg, Jesse Welles, and Jeff & Vida. The latter portion of the program has some dark Pagan folk sandwiched between two reworked standards. Linnzi Zaorski gives us a newer take on the old Vaudeville hit “Shine On, Harvest Moon”; Sun and Moon Dance offer a kind of requiem for a doe taken by a hunter with a song called “Harvest Moon,” featuring guest vocals by Charity Cimarron; “Try to Remember,” another old show tune, is given a 21st century update by The Better Boyfriends of Chicago. The show ends with an excerpt from “秋 [AUTUMN]” by Junkyard Shaman.
