Jaiya was founded in 2003 by Gulf Island musicians Miranda Brown, Kim Darwin and Lael Whitehead. The trio recorded three albums which celebrate a deep connection to the land and to the cycles of the seasons. Brown and Darwin have now retired from the band, and Lael Whitehead is continuing on her own — with the help of talented guest artists. Support them on Bandcamp.
