This week on the Earth Eclectic Radio Hour, journey with host Bart Everson into “Songs of the Unknown Fabulous”—a curated collection of ecological music you’ve likely never encountered but definitely need to hear. From the prophetic urban gospel of Reverend Billy & The Stop Shopping Choir to the folk-rock of Imbolc Fire, from experimental eco-orchestral soundscapes to a 35-year-old Pagan chorus that still rings with urgent truth, these artists offer both unflinching witness to our planetary crisis and surprising wellsprings of hope. In “such a time as this, when all the world’s amiss” (thanks Russ Arlotta), when Earth systems teeter at tipping points, these musical visionaries remind us that “a ghost of a chance is all in the world we need” (thanks Danny Dolinger) to carry messages of ecological renewal across every frontier. Tune in to discover fabulous music that might just help us reimagine our relationship with the living Earth.

Each week, we like to give a shout-out to groups and individuals we feel are making a positive difference. And this week, we celebrate the Religious Naturalist Association. Bart is a member, and he’s in good company. Members include people in all 50 US states, over 50 countries. Some people are thrown off by that term, “religious.” According to RNA, it refers to personal attitudes, values and ways of living that reflect a deep reverence for life, a sense of awe at the wonder of nature, and a desire to act in ways that reflect this. As you can imagine, there’s a lot more to say on this topic. So to learn more, check out the RNA website.
