Host Bart Everson opens with Eye Color Dreams’ atmospheric “Espíritos da Natureza” from Portugal, setting an invocational tone before Heather Houston’s “Seven Directions” calls in elemental forces through sacred chant. The ritual deepens with Lavalenta’s enigmatic “Coacê” from Brazil and Assembly of the Sacred Wheel’s woodland-inspired “Feral Beauty.” Ready to dance? We’ve got two dances: “Deer Dance” by Sun and Moon Dance, featuring deer antlers as percussion, followed by Lithuanian metal band Romuvos’ “Snake Dance” honoring sacred serpent traditions. Tomoko Sauvage’s “Salt Spell” uses water-filled porcelain bowls to translate salt paintings into meditative soundscapes. After a brief pause, the ceremony crescendos with Cronehood’s devotional “Hail Gaia” and a live recording from the Crescent City Gaian Guild’s equinox celebration. The journey continues through Italian band Wakinyan’s self-titled track, Philadelphia-based Ayahumans’ South American-inspired “Icaro,” and Sil Sol’s “Saberes a la Escucha,” transmitting indigenous land-care wisdom. The program concludes with Seattle’s Gaia Consort and their 1999 classic “Gathering”—completing a worldwide musical ceremony that honors Earth as both mother and sacred presence.
